Nuclear plant explosion video.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/

It's definitely an ineffable observation.

3. I agree with them on a hydrogen-oxygen explosion....
The entire containment building seems to have exploded. I suspect the core is at least partially exposed.

4. I do not know, just wanted to show that an explosion occurred.
The rest is hypothetical, unless someone wants to get close enough to find out.

7. You really don't have to get that close to know.
Different kinds of reactions give off different kinds of light. Hydrogen-oxygen, if you ever had a chemistry class where they did the electrolysis of water, then ignited the test tube with hydrogen, it gives off a slightly blue tint.

However, most of the other kind of reactions you'd see from industrial chemicals are usually very bright orange/red in the area where you'd be able to observe the reaction. In other words, they'd have a big ass fireball.

This method of explosion analysis is one reason it is believed the coating on the skin of Hindenberg is what caused it to go up so fast, because it was such a bright orange/red fire. And really when hydrogen goes, it's more of an explosion, not a fire. I mean, the gas cells may have ignited after the fire, but they probably didn't start it.

6. Yeah, they basically lied to everyone.
I'm betting it was hydrogen-oxygen too, because there wasn't a massive fireball. That rules out some kind of explosion from natural gas or some type of conventional petroleum product.
