Wisconsin Republicans implode: Mass GOP recalls coming!
It was the greatest victory for labor in decades. It was the beginning of a progressive revival in America. It will be the end of Republican control of the Wisconsin Senate. It is the beginning of the end for the anti-worker, anti-wages, anti-jobs, anti-benefits, anti-democracy, soon-to-be former Republican governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker.

I have to laugh when I watch befuddled cable pundits say: "Oh dear, I didn't realize collective bargaining is as American as apple pie"! Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is. The public overwhelmingly supports collective bargaining for American workers, including public workers! Oh, dear!!!

The Wisconsin gambit by Scott Walker and his Republican cohorts was a smashing victory for American workers and American labor, and a crushing defeat for the radical right. They won the battle in a way that dooms them to lose the war by a landslide.

Let's hope.

of Democratic causes and representatives/office-seekers. Of course they pay their staff, but so would any other organization you'd donate to.

38. Hope is what gives people the energy to act.
Hopelessness is a major tool of the Plutocracy. How many people have you heard say "I don't vote; it doesn't matter. They're all the same. There's nothing I can do."

The great gift of the Egyptian people to Wisconsin was hope, and Wisconsin has amplified the gift and is passing it on to the rest of you.

This is about to get VERY ugly for Wisconsin. I can't speak to how ugly it is about to be for people in other states. I'm too involved here.

But people here are about to be robbed. WE OWN THE ASSETS WALKER PLANS TO SELL AT PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR!

This summer during your visit to America's Vacationland, your next park visit is probably going to involve an entry fee and overnight pass for a KOCH INDUSTRY subsidiary.

21. Snyder made the same power play here.
Rammed an "emergency manager" bill through the other day. He can take over any city he pleases and install a city manager at whatever salary he pleases. The manager will then sell off municipal assets to the highest bidder.

15. I have not given up, just reporting what is going on.
They must get the idea that Unions have power off the table.

"The Unions are on their death knell."

I have watched Democrats for too many years. They lie down
and roll over at the beckonning of the Media.

I am hopeful American People will continue the fight
they have started in Wisconsin.

33. Thank you! I hope you remind each signer to vote in Supreme Court election April 5th.
From DUer savalez:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=186x32328

On April 5th tilt WI Supreme Court left!

Norman Goldman pointed this out on his radio show.

There is an election on April 5th for a Supreme Court Judge. If Kloppenburg (D) wins, the Wisconsin Supreme Court will be tilted left. Right now Pubs hold 1 seat over Dems.

This will give WI Dems a fighting chance during challenges to any of Walker's shenanigans.

Norms post: http://www.normangoldman.com/blog/blog-details.asp?BID=...

Kloppenburg's website is here: http://www.kloppenburgforjustice.com /

Interesting opinion: http://www.stevenspointjournal.com/article/20110228/SPJ...

Quote from above link: "A vote for Assistant Attorney General Kloppenburg is a vote against Gov. Scott Walker."

32. This is WAY premature. The battle is WAY not over. This has NOT been
a victory of any sort. What does this author want everyone to do? Sit back and drink champagne?

The battle has just begun, because the battle was abandoned by our side decades ago. It has to be a never-ending battle, and we can NEVER AGAIN sit back and relax and just appreciate the fruits of someone else's busted skull. It is a fact of human nature that the powerful, aggressive and greedy are ALWAYS going to try to take from the peaceful, well-balanced individual.

Labor allowed corruption and special interests into the highest levels of the labor unions, and then allowed labor unions to be demonized by a smirking reagan and his greedy lackeys.

Never again can labor allow corruption in our unions, and NEVER again can we let down our guard.

ESPECIALLY NOT TODAY WHEN THE BATTLE IS JUST NOW STARTING!!!
