3-year old Savagely Beaten for Wetting Pants, Dies While Mom Eats Pizza
ORLANDO, FLA -- An Orange County judge denied bail for a woman who deputies say participated in the abuse of her young son and ate pizza as he lay dying.

Robin Greinke, 26, and her boyfriend, Steven Neil, 33, were arrested Thursday.

The two face charges of aggravated child abuse, child neglect and first-degree murder in the death of Greinke's 3-year-old son, Noah Fake.

<snip>

Orange County investigators said Greinke poked her son in the chest, pinched his cheeks and kicked him on Monday night.

Neil also kicked the boy, and slammed him repeatedly into the floor and rammed him headfirst into a wooden sofa frame.

Greinke and Neil ate pizza after beating the boy. They called for help on Tuesday morning when they found him unresponsive.

8. children do. I was a pediatric nurse for a while.
and had my share of abuse deaths.

The only comforting thought was an invisable embrace of the children as they were transported to whatever waited them.

No suffering any more.

I hope these bastards serve life without parole in the general population.

3. The only thing that comforts me . . .
. . . is knowing that these two will be spending their prison terms experiencing exactly what they inflicted on this innocent child. DAILY.

Fuckers.

5. Amen to that.
Put them in general population. FOR LIFE.

I hate prison rape but then I can't help but say it's a fitting punishment for this.

10. K&R-They were probably "pro life"...we have more protective laws for pets in the US
than we do for children, because of the concept that the way people decide to bring up their kids is their own business...I have seen so much of this, it does not even surprise me any more.

23. Anybody with social work experience knows ppl like that are apolitical, immoral
The vicious and the stupid are part of the human condition. Even parents who try to bring up their kids right have kids who do wrong. There could be drugs involved for all you know.

Social workers see drug abuse as a factor in many child abuse cases.

11. OMG... and people wonder why I support the death penalty, this has shades of the Melisha Gibson case
In 1976, 4 year old Melisha Gibson was brutally murdered by her stepfather, Ronald Maddux, as her mother looked on and did not try to help. This baby girl had made the "mistake" of wetting the bed. Ronald Maddux made her take a shower, then put her in her room, with wet hair and the windows open. It was cold out. When the baby girl complained that she was cold, Ronald Maddux made her run around in circles to warm her up. If she stopped running, he hit her with a bat. When she complained that she was thirsty, he made her drink hot sauce. This maggot beat this baby girl until she died.

18. that bastard just died last year

Ronald Maddux, 64, who was convicted in the 1976 death of his
stepdaughter Melisha Gibson, died in prison Feb. 7, according to
information from the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Maddux died of natural causes at Roane Medical Center.
The 4-year-old girl's death sparked changes in the reporting of child
abuse more than three decades ago.

This is rage pure and simple. I'm sure it will haunt her for the rest of her life.

15. This is exactly why...
I can't get outraged over a drama queen mom who goes nuts after a flight attendant puts her kid in an overhead bin as part of a game.

Or the "torture" of circumcision.

Or anything else that doesn't even come close to this in tragedy.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Well, anyway, hurray for the "Right to life" crowd.

A fetus was "saved" so it could get a little older and suffer at the hands of two beasts.

I hope she didn't end up having to handle this case.

She says that many of the worst cases she sees are caused by child abuse.

27. you know many non-Western cultures have a much more lax approach
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 06:45 PM by Douglas Carpenter
about potty training, weaning from the bottle or even sleeping alone.

I live in the Philippines part of the year and I discovered that there is little or no forced potty training, weaning from the bottle or even sleeping alone. If the child accomplishes any of these at three, five or seven or whenever is left up to the child. Although many of these cultures tend to be more authoritarian when dealing with older children and teenagers - they often tend to be much more indulgent with very young children. I suspect this is the case in many if not most non-western cultures.

I seems that many western parents may feel that it is a direct assault on their ego when their child does not conform at an early age as exemplified to the absolute extreme in this case.
