bipartisanship
I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian

And she/he states his/her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax. If you can figure out a way to split the difference there and find a meal you will both enjoy, you can probably figure out how bipartisanship is going to work

Tire rims & anthrax with tomato sauce is the obvious compromise here –

4. That's why we need to teach Obama a lesson.
A lesson in how to fight back. That's what they are doing in Wisconsin and Florida. We need to take this fight to Obama so we can teach him how to fight back.

8. He doesn't fight back because he agrees with them.
Obama essentially has the worldview of a conservative. He believes in the system, which has always worked for very well for him.

6. A permanent disconnect
thrives in the use of the term bipartisanship. Could Jekyll get along with Hyde so they can both survive? Thankfully for the entire populace of London they couldn't. The country is supposed to be split but in actuality agrees on many key points of major policy that Jekyll-Hyde completely ignores. Instead of appealing to the MAJORITY especially in the legal, constructive and progressive policies needed for survival they foster the division, the petty deliberately misinformed hatreds to allow the depredations of a few criminals.

Yes, move aside Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee for the better Victorian literary allusion, as tantalizing as the frustrating absurdity component of the fat twins may be.
