2. It would tell the corporatists that this country is run by...
WE THE PEOPLE, not them, the corporations!
Two days, is all that we need. If we shut down the entire country for two days, it would hurt their wallets, and face it, that's all they care about!

3. A general strike in WI would turn public opinion against us.
This is not Europe and it's easy for many here on DU to casually call for a general strike but it is much harder to live with the negative consequences. Public opinion is already strongly in our favor and a general strike would lose that and likely lose many people their jobs.

The WI union officers are talking strikes.

15. That also means it's not uncertain. I vote "no" to a general strike here,
but I certainly have more respect for the opinions of people who actually live here and must suffer the consequences of a general strike when it comes to calling for one.
