Wonderland!
The story of Alice in Wonderland had numerous strange and curious characters. Some of those characters are a perfect match for the strange and curious characters fighting to take away workers’ rights in Wisconsin. Wonderland’s “Queen of Hearts” is just like Wisconsin’s 'King' of Hearts, Governor Scott Walker. Like Wonderland’s Queen, Governor Walker is authoritative and dominant playing croquet with union workers and Democratic Lawmakers as mallets and balls (but only by his own rules). Whenever 'King' Walker is not on the winning end of his union busting croquet game, he enforces tyrannical tactics that ‘shout’, “OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!”

Wonderland’s “Mad Hatter” was very rude. Wisconsin’s Mad Hatter is Republican Senator Grothman who got so mad at protesting teachers, firefighters, lawyers, nurses, and doctors that he resorted to the childish, typically Right Wing, labeling antic of calling the protesting professionals “SLOBS”.

Wonderland’s “Queer Looking Party of Animals” comprised of “Dodos’, “Eaglets” and other strange creatures can be compared to Wisconsin’s Republican Assembly members. Wisconsin’s Republican Dodos and Eaglets, brazenly, LIED to their Democrat Assembly members by inviting them to compromise about union rights. When the Democrats arrived, the Republican Dodos and Eaglets, immediately, called for an anti-union vote and didn’t even give the Democrats an opportunity to debate.

Wonderland’s “Tweedledum and “Tweedledee” were fat twin brothers who dressed as schoolboys. The brothers were rather affectionate with one another, but didn’t hesitate to fight over insignifcant things. Wisconsin’s Tweeledum and Tweeledee Republican Legislators are fighting with their Democrat counterparts over taking away workers’ rights – not the SIGNIFICANT state deficit particularly since the union workers offered to cut their benefits. Like Wisconsin’s 'King' of Hearts, Republican Tweedledums and Tweedledees can’t find the time to speak with union representatives, but manage to find plenty of time to speak with their, similarly, “fat” cat corporate lobbyists.

Similar to the wild antics that took place at Wonderland’s “MAD Tea Party”, Wisconsin’s Wonderland characters are wreaking havoc by breaking contracts, declaring layoffs, enforcing $100 a day fines, and tyrannical police state tactics, while the 'King' sits on his CORPORATE-padded throne ‘shouting’ “Off with their heads” – “Off with their heads”!

1. For a second there I thought you meant the Wonderland murders in 1981
John Holmes got away with that one.
