Obama may just have ruined the chances of his most dangerous opponent.
Edited on Fri Mar-04-11 10:45 PM by LoZoccolo
He says a few nice things about Jeb Bush, Jeb Bush says a few nice things about Barack Obama and the next thing you know...it's over for Jeb Bush.

Of course the riggedy-giggedy-boo-bah wing of the Democratic Party is going flaggeldy-zaggeldy it's haggeldy-naggeldy for a day or two about it before they find something else to sniggedy-snoggety about, but then you realize that their riggedy-giggedy-boo-bah wing is bigger than ours, and thinks that the work of defeating Barack Obama is serious business because he's going to bring in the death panels yaggedy-schmaggety blibbo blobbo blib blib and so they are going to really put Jeb Bush down, and while I think Obama will win the general election (if our riggedy-giggedy-boo-bah wing doesn't engage in third-party asspipery (there is no cute name for doing that)), Jeb Bush is one of the candidates who might come closest.

tl;dr: chess: a game for smart people

5. George W Bush ruined the chances of Jeb Bush.
No sane american would vote for a Bush given the near fatal experience of the country with the last Bush. All democrats need to do is remind americans of how bad things were and how bad they could become again under a Bush presidency.

8. I don't buy it. Jeb is setting himself to run the next time
not this time. Its not a coincidence that he decided to go with Obama to Miami Central a predominantly black high school. You can expect to see those pictures with him and Obama when he runs. Remember that.

18. Trouble is, this is not a game of chess that Obama is playing,
But rather a game of three card monte. This has been shown to be the case in his previous actions, you know, the public option, the tax cuts for the rich, his previous education policies, etc.

21. No, he's doing it to help out his corporate buddies,
Like he did with the banksters, Wall St., and the insurance companies.

What pisses me off is that this is simply a continuation of the two party/same corporate master system of government that has been plaguing our county for decades now.

25. Yeah, and look what it got us - Rick Scott
I'm not a Charlie Crist fan at all, but I'd take him over Rick Scott any day of the week.

If it's a 3-way race in 2012 between Obama, Jeb Bush, and Sarah Palin...I shudder to think that history could repeat itself

29. True, but that is a hazard we will have to watch out for
I am hoping these tea bagger governors have pushed things too far too fast and revealed too much of their agenda. I really do not believe that most Americans will accept what the tea baggers are pushing.

Therefore, the rest of the OP is not worth consideration.

You should give the argument a chance. If you read it you'd understand why Obama's got some work to do ahead of him.

34. How is that even possible when the Repuke fan base never actually
listens to their leaders and just do what the leaders mouthpieces say and do (Rush, Glenn, etc)? I bet this HELPS Jeb, not hurts him. Sheesh, Obama should have been more HONEST than diplomatic toward the issue. Lies do nothing for me.

35. Or he could've done good for the 98%, and had no dangerous opponents.
No unsavory compromises necessary, none of that game playing. But I guess that was too simple.

His maneuvering talent was all wasted. He could've become a leader, instead he's just another politician.
