4. Some tweets said these were "privatized" police -- again, I don't have more details yet.
Just the additional info from a reporter that I posted in another reply here.

13. I've heard police from other parts of the state, but
I don't have confirmation on that either. I really hope either case is true. Would really be disappointing if the normally wonderful Capitol or Madison police were doing stuff like this.

15. I have been seeing post and the like
talking about out of state police being used to guard the capitol. I guess Blackwater, or whatever the hell they are calling themselves these days, to be far behind. They don't have quite as much of a problem with cracking heads.

2. unbelievable He even had his id out
so it takes 5 cops to tackle who old guy who isn't armed.

I don't think they were really police.. were they sheriff deputies ? or capitol police ?

I'm glad it was caught on tape.

9. He's actually not that old.
But yeah, the cop's take down didn't work. Looks like Milroy's had a bit of wrestling experience. :)

Add this to Walker's growing list of unconstitutional actions.
Let's see we have:
Article I, §4
Right to assemble and petition. Section 4. The right of the people peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common good, and to petition the government, or any department thereof, shall never be abridged.

Article I, §12
Attainder; ex post facto; contracts. Section 12. No bill of attainder, ex post facto law, nor any law impairing the obligation of contracts, shall ever be passed, and no conviction shall work corruption of blood or forfeiture of estate.

Rep. Milroy walked past officers guarding a door, opened it and struggled with police before they took him to the ground.

Rep. Milroy was not arrested, and after waiting a few minutes was cleared to go to his office, on the first floor of the Capitol.

@
@jwigderson We couldn't hear exactly what Milroy said, but he just kept walking in until an officer physically grabbed him and he struggled.

and reported that he was assaulted and demand that charges be filed against the thugs

10. Seriously, at what point does the Federal Government step in and protect our rights?
This is a lawless administration in Madison. Unfortunately, they control the Governor's office, the legislature, the AG, and Walker appointed Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald's father as the head of the State Patrol.

14. I'm not sure that the snippet of video at the end tells the whole story.
Did Representative Milroy show his ID before he marched into the building. Something as simple as, "I'm Rep. Milroy (showing his ID) and I would like to get some clothes from my office" very well could have prevented this entire incident. From this video we do not know if outside the door he clearly identified himself and stated what he wanted to do. That would make a big difference in what happened inside.

I was in Madison on Saturday with the 100,000 and I believe that the protesters have gone the extra mile to avoid any confrontations such as this one. I have worked as a security guard and I can understand how such an incident such as this might easily happen. With proper communication there is no reason this should ever have happened.

We see the video at the end and it makes for a great story in getting everyone worked up, but it most likely does not tell the entire story.
