February Blizzard Cost Governments $10.4 Million
"The massive blizzard that hit southern Wisconsin last month cost local governments more than $10.4 million. That's according to Gov. Scott Walker, who wants the Federal Emergency Management Agency to review snow totals and costs. It's the first step in possibly requesting a federal disaster declaration."

"Walker will then determine if the state and counties meet the criteria to request the declaration. That could reimburse agencies for 75 percent of cleanup costs."

Ya know, this is one of those times where I just have to shake my head. $810m investment in rail? NO! Millions for broadband improvments? NO! Federal school funds? NO!

But, uh, it snows (which is not entirely unheard of here in Wisconsin) and all of a sudden Scooter is all about the federal dollars.
