One thing getting lost in the furor over public school spending is that at least 40% of local school budgets go to administrators, who are not union members. Not that I want to see them slashing the salaries of school administrators right and left, but if the Republicans seriously wanted to save money and not just bash unions, don't you think they would have at least brought this up? Have you *ever* heard them talk about school costs other than teachers?
