Will you be ready to protest when the time comes?

3. You have the wrong people to blame for that.
It's the House republicans who are cutting programs for the poor.

5. Obama is letting them do whatever they want
He will not frame the debate properly.

FICA taxes are funded separately from income tax and yet he continues to insist entitlements are causing the deficit.

They should never have taken money from the Social Security trust, and now they don't want to pay it back so they are lying. LYING every day and Obama is doing it too.

The real cause of the deficit is tax cut, after tax cut, after tax cut...

....on top of war after war after BIG government Department of Homeland Security and other stupid waste and profiteering off of the American people.

Did they look into the billions missing and the fraud in the wars?

Have they even considered cutting the military.

Who is responsible for leading the debate? Why does Obama just let them lie and go along with everything?

7. I think a better question is why you used a protest against a Republican proposal to launch into
an attack on the president and not the republicans responsible.

Considering Obama has called for zero cuts to Social Security, I would think that might make a little more sense

10. I asked a simple question
Has Obama blamed entitlements for the deficit problems?

Is he a part of the problem..or the solution?

12. Nothing to do with your OP--nothing at all
This is not a protest toward him, he has proposed zero cuts to SS and his administration has even issued statements saying social security does not add to the deficit. So your question was both unrelated to the incorrect OP and can still be answered as a firm "No".

8. The President has nothing to do with the policies in the OP article.
Why take a protest against Republican policies and try to frame these as policies the President Obama condones?

The President's position and recent statement are clear: Social Security does not add to the deficit.

Senate Dems take Social Security out of budget consideration, revive 'lockbox' talk

4. Um, the protest is against a REPUBLICAN proposal not Obama's
Edited on Wed Mar-02-11 05:13 PM by Godhumor
From the article:

demonstrations are planned at 75 Social Security offices from Rhode Island to Montana over a House Republican plan to cut $1.7 billion from the Social Security Administration's $11.4 billion budget.

6. No. Walker is mean and mean spirited. Is Obama's policy currently
acceptable? No. I have already been to a protest. I doubt I will stop.
