4. Teachers are a life link for our children
you all do a great job. Just wish you would have read what I posted earlier but I don't know how to link it here.

You teachers, are the greatest.

I would not want that job today. Maybe years ago but, today!? No way.

8. After my parents, I owe everything I am today to my teachers.
Even the ones who sucked.

9. This is refreshing to see, and appreciated.
The truth is that DU has not always been friendly to teachers in the last couple of years.

10. +100,000,000
I do have a child, and believe me, teachers work their ASSES off every single day of the school year.

Part-time? Many teachers supplement their incomes by working as day camp counselors in the summer. Or by teaching summer school. Then they're back in school a couple of weeks before the children, decorating the classrooms with stuff they paid for out of pocket with their Education Warehouse discount cards (woo, a discount card!) Like most other workers, they have to attend a lot of meetings, usually before and/or after school hours. And during school hours, they're trying to teach something to 20-30 kids (and that's in a good district) not all of whom are brilliant little angels. Then they get to go home and turn on the news and hear themselves being blamed for all the ills visited upon our nation... and then it's back to lesson planning and grading tests for the next day.

Pure evil, right?

12. Almost everybody knows someone who's a teacher.

Ask people to evaluate teachers on the ones they actually know, rather than on what people on TV say about them.
