Lawrence O'Donnell | MSNBC | Charlie Sheen
I've just watched Lawrence O'Donnell on The Last Word replay an interview with Charlie Sheen. With all the events happening, why is Lawrence O'Donnell | MSNBC spending air-time on this?

Not to say that I don't wish Charlie well. I do.

But Lawrence has to up his game to replace KO.

No kidding.

way drugs is kicking his ass.

7. I don't enjoy that stuff, either. But to be fair, Keith O. always had an end of the
show segment with that type of entertainment crap. Think Michael Musto (sp?).

8. I heard LO preamble the first interview broadcast
with hints at having a bond with Sheen. Seriously. I guess he knew him pretty well - at least over the past (I think he said) 6 years.
I guess he felt strongly enough to sacrifice some time.
I don't begrudge him that.

20. Yup all the time and he made it perfectly clear he was forced
to do those stories. O'Donnell does what the masters tell him too.

11. This story exemplfies
what's wrong with the media (even the good guys on MSNBC's prime time lineup). Charlie Sheen's nervous break down, his porn star "girlfriends" and his mountainous personal stash of cocaine should be non-issues when you consider all of things that are going on in the US and abroad. The wall-to-wall coverage of this garbage is no different the missing white woman and missing children stories of years past. It's pointless infotainment that is designed to distract people from the real issues at hand.

12. The media overlooked something
While I consider most of the Hollywood media as overplayed, overpaid, and near worthless pretenders that accomplish or do nothing, I did enjoy this statement about Sheen.

“He’s tired of being judged and held up as the ultimate demon of this world,” explained (Alex) Jones. “He didn’t kill people in Iraq. He’s not responsible for the take down of Building 7…. We’ve got banks bankrupting the United States. He didn’t steal $23.7 trillion.”

The media covers him in the spotlight like 24/7, while they fail to cover their banker buddies who stole $23.7 Trillion from the world, for even for a minute.

14. Now MSM has a fixation on Charlie Sheen. They move from one fixation to the next. Sometimes
I've switched from CNN to MSNBC to Fox and they've been covering all at once the latest fixation, like they're watching each other.

19. Well, to be fair, KO spent a lot of time dissing
Britney Spears until one day he said he wasn't doing it anymore because he felt she had mental problems and he didn't feel right riding her. I wonder if Lawrence is getting pressured to do some celebrity coverage?

23. How is talking about Charlie Sheen's problems going to help shed some light on
the long list of ways the RepubliCorporate tools want to destroy everyone but the rich. I was digusted that O'Donnell would spend one minute on infotainment. Evidently, Lawrence's finances are so adequate that he's not feeling as victimized as his viewers who are looking for the real news.
