Cops: Pizzeria owner dumps mice in rival shops

Two police officers smelled a rat Monday afternoon when they were eating lunch at an Upper Darby pizza place and watched the owner of a competing pizza restaurant walk into the shop and carry a suspicious bag into the restaurant’s restroom.

Thinking the bag contained drugs, the owner turned the bag over to the officers who were in the restaurant at the time. They found something white — but it wasn’t drugs.

A pizza war has erupted in San Rafael after police arrested a manager and former employee from one parlor for allegedly vandalizing a competing restaurant.

Just after 3 a.m. Thursday, a manager at the Pizza Orgasmica & Brewing Co. on Fourth Street called San Rafael police and said a man was spraying black paint on the bright yellow building, police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said....

In addition to painting "Go Home" and other slogans on the windows and facade of Pizza Orgasmica, the vandals defaced a large Adam and Eve cut-out valued at $5,000, spray-painting the Biblical figures' faces black. They also painted "No Orgiasmica" on the front of the Sushi to Dai For restaurant next door.

"They can't spell," observed Leslie Burnside, owner of Theresa and Johnny's Comfort Food across the street.
