NEW: Actor Danny Glover urges solidarity for Indiana protesters
Associated Press

INDIANAPOLIS — Actor and activist Danny Glover is urging labor union members protesting at the Indiana Statehouse to stand in solidarity against what he called an organized campaign against American workers.

A few hundred union members cheered today as the star of the “Lethal Weapon” action movies said they were part of a battle going on across the country to stop a “vicious attack” to take more from the middle class.

The protesters responded to other speakers with chants such as “We will not be moved!” but the union crowd was much smaller than the thousands who filled Statehouse halls last week when House Democrats began their boycott over labor- and education-related bills they find objectionable.
