Dear Stoopid Person,
Cory Gardner(R) is my alleged representative (CO CD-4). This is an excerpt from his most recent "news"letter. Anyone getting similarly memed missives from their reps? Spelling and grammar issues notwithstanding, he does cling nicely to the party line of absolute innocence. (bold emphasis is mine)

The House is prepared to consider a short term CR* while Senate Democrats acknowledge that the spending binge of the last two years needs to be put on a diet, but the bottom line is this: the solution needs to responsibly keep government running while also addressing the job-destroying spending spree that has defined the last two years. These spending cuts will help grown(sic) the economy and create jobs because the more government spends, borrows and regulates the hard(sic) it is for businesses to access the capital needed to grow and hire.

*Continuing Resolution

7. How does Mr. Gardner propose to create jobs?
Two separate analyses I've seen of recent Republican proposals put additional job losses at somewhere around 700,000 jobs. Why does Mr. Gardner think his scheme is going to address anything job-destroying? I mean, except for aiding and abetting the job destruction?
