A public union employee, a tea party activist, and a CEO are sitting at a table
with a plate of a dozen cookies in the middle of it. The CEO takes 11 of the cookies, turns to the tea partier and says, 'Watch out for that union guy. He wants a piece of your cookie.

1. K&R - but you could substitute 'ordinary person' for tea party activist
This is the message the working classes have been inundated with for decades

16. Good one! Sadly true to the situation.
Amazing how much talk there is about entitlements and comfy government pay but when extending tax cuts for multi-millionaires was discussed there was no vilification of the folks around their swimming pools and in their limos or John Sidney McCain needing a tenth home.

19. I have to correct you.
with a plate of a dozen cookies in the middle of it. The CEO takes 11 & 9/10ths of the cookies, turns to the tea partier and says, 'Watch out for that union guy. He wants a piece of your cookie.

Just 11 is not enough for them.

22. My ending.........
The union guy turns to the teabagger and says. "There's more of us. We could take ALL of the cookies from this guy. We baked the damn things after all."

BTW, I ran into a union guy at the post office today (he had a UAW tag) and we talked a few minutes. I told him the joke (the original version) and he said he'd spread it to his local office. They were putting together some stragegy ideas for supporting the teaches here in Tennessee.

24. It would be more funny
If it wasn't so damned accurate. It's depressing to think so many people are duped into believing CEOs would share their cookies.

I rather think though, that he would have eaten 11 - then crumbled the final cookie over the plates of the other two - the larger portion going to the tea partier. Then he could say, "See? Trickle down does work."
