Repubs have declared class warfare on Democrats...

...and the Democrats have no choice but to fight fire with fire.

Republicans across the nation are shouting that we are out of money. We have no choice but to make cuts.

But we do have a choice.

Democrats will need to resort to a little "class warfare" on their own if we are going to survive these attacks by the right-wing Republicans.

This debt and deficits took hold when Republicans decided that millionaires and billionaires were paying too much in taxes. This is the 800-ton elephant in the room. Out of basic fairness, we must ask these people to pay more. Not just to return to the Clinton rates, but even higher. The Clinton rates will not get us out of this hole. And taxcuts have absolutely nothing to do with creating jobs after a certain point of diminishing returns.

It will take courage, a commodity in low supply within the Democratic Party. But they must counter the class warfare attacks by the Republicans with a response that resonates with the American people. I have more money in my left pocket at this moment than GE and Bank of America paid in taxes last year. We cannot afford any more of this corporate welfare.

is that I don't know if the present Democratic Party is capable of fighting back in such a way. They have lost the meaning of what it means to be a "Democrat". They seem to have no problem with taxcuts for the wealthy.

6. I have a problem with this thinking. There certainly is a class war. But the lines arent between

the two parties. That is a distraction. The sides are the oligarchs with their minions and the lower class.

The first battle in this war is with those Democrats that side with the oligarchs. We must clean up the Democratic Party before we can go to war with the Repub-Cons.

AGAINST their own class. Remember 90%+ are millionaires. We can't look to the old "left/right" divisions to stop this capitalist conspiracy. It's got to be the people against the elites. When the elites are scared of the rest of us, we'll get some "reforms". Too little, too late, IMO, but that'll be the only time things will change a little.
