Wis Gov Busted for Illegal Campaign Coordination w/Koch, by Jud Lounsbury
Video: Wis Gov Busted for Illegal Campaign Coordination w/Koch (& Doing it on the Taxpayer's Dime)
by Jud Lounsbury, Daily Kos

"One aspect that is being under-appreciated in prankgate is that Walker is in serious legal trouble because he asked the person he believed to be billionaire David Koch to run phony "issue advocacy" ads that would benefit Walker and the Republican Party. And he did this solicitation on the taxpayer's dime in the Governor's office ..."

4. The truth is that the prank call
exposed Walker big time and its contents should have force a resignation by now.
Don't count on M$Corporate Greedia to call him on this - that's for Democratic groups like ACORN.
I can 't wait to see if hack Gregory calls him on the content of that call.

5. He also accepted a trip to "Cali" in exchange for successfully stopping the revolt.
After criticizing Democratic senators for allegedly receiving money from union supporters for their out of state room and board he accepted a trip offer from an anti-union person which presumably included room, board, and transportation in exchange for stopping the revolt.
“Koch”: Well, I tell you what, Scott: once you crush these bastards I’ll fly you out to Cali and really show you a good time.

Walker: All right, that would be outstanding.

This was at a minimum hypocritical, and probably illegal.

8. Anyone Citizen can call a "Federal Grand Jury" to investigate
Maybe some of the Legal Eagles that frequent the site can chime in on this

But ... I believe any citizen armed with proof of illegal activities can petition a judge to summon a Federal Grand Jury together to examine the facts and hand down their recommendations or indictment - at least in California they can

14. Anyone living in Wisconsin can file a Civil Suit
Edited on Sun Feb-27-11 09:58 AM by FreakinDJ
Not sure of the evidence laws in Wisconsin concerning a "Taped Phone call" with out his knowledge or prior consent. And that very well may limit any Criminal Actions by the State

How ever .... Civil Suits don't have those restrictions and any one who feels Scott Walkers actions are hurting them personally could file suit. After over several million hits on U-tube it would be hard to say the taped conversation is not "Public Knowledge"

It would be nice to see a suit filed early this week so it would fill the news cycle for the rest of the week

17. They're a single party notification state.
And the party that knew it was being recorded was the caller. So that probably won't save him.

15. Somebody from Wisconsin send the DOJ or GAB the details.
Wisconsin Department of Justice
P.O. Box 7857
Madison, WI 53707-7857
Fax: 608-267-2779

or file a Government Accountability Complaint.
http://gab.wi.gov/forms/complaint

People outside the state may be able to do so, but it carries more weight coming from a resident.
