It's the job of a Labor Secretary in a Democratic Administration to fight for the labor movement.

Even if we agree that the prez is "toxic"(as an Obama supporter said the other day)Hilda isn't.

Reagan and Bush people were NEVER neutral on these things. If they fought for evil, a Democratic Administration is supposed to fight equally hard for GOOD.

Having Hilda go to Madison would be a good role for the ONLY progressive in the Obama Cabinet to play.

1. HIs previous anti-teacher actions would indicate that Obama is rooting against the WI teachers;

4. we don`t need him or anyone else in the whitehouse.
the fight is on the local and state level. right now the republicans in wisconsin better be afraid of the republicans out there in the streets protecting their right of collective bargaining.

madison in the 60`s was the cops against the war protesters today they are on the same side on the issue of workers rights....

5. This fight is not local and state. The Republicans are taking it
across state lines. The Republicans are indicating that they are planning a nationwide attack on the last vestiges of unions -- service workers and public employees.

This is a national struggle.

Schwarzenegger tried to rob the state teachers' pension funds some years ago. Californians defeated him and, in the aftermath of his devastating defeat, he came out and apologized and promised to change his administration. As I recall, I believe that he did make changes in his staff at that time or shortly thereafter.

This is not just about Wisconsin. This is about working people across the nation. This is about justice across the nation. This is about pension protection and pay scales across the country.

3. this is the people`s revolution....
they did`t listen to us then and why would we want to listen to them now?

there are democrats and republicans standing side by side demanding bargaining rights. you mr president had a chance to bring card check to help the workers of this country to bargain in good faith with their employers but you were not interested or to cowardly to protect us.
