Charlie Sheen fights back against anti-Semitic accusations
The 45-year-old Two and a Half Men star fought back against allegations that his rant against show creator Chuck Lorre was fueled by negative feelings about Jews.

The accusations stem from Sheen's twisting of Lorrie's name to "Chaim Levine" in an open letter to fans and in a radio interview.

"I was referring to Chuck by his real name, because I wanted to address the man, not the bulls*** TV persona," Sheen retorted to TMZ.

Lorre was born Charles Levine and the Hebrew name for Charles is Chaim.

"So you're telling me, anytime someone calls me Carlos Estevez, I can claim they are anti-Latino?" he added.

42. Charlie Sheen In 'Major League' Sequel As Mentor?
Charlie Sheen may be about to go Wild once again. Only this time, he'll get applause from more than just porn stars.

The "Two and a Half Men" star took a leading role in the 80's baseball comedy classic "Major League" and its sequel, "Major League 2," playing "Wild Thing" Rick Vaughn, a hard-partying ex-con with a flamethrower for an arm. Time to warm it up, because it seems like there's a new film coming to the franchise.

7. Another quote from that article:
"I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth," Sheen wrote.

"I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words - imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists."

:wow:

"especially if they wind up in my octagon" what does that even mean?

21. but he didn't shut the show down
For an industry that replaced Valarie from Valarie I seriously doubt they couldn't bang out 4 more episodes this year had they wanted too.

This is about several egomaniacs in a pissing contest. Sheen is just the one we see on TV but far from the only one involved.

22. The networks have lots of egomaniacs, but it looks to
me that Sheen brought this whole thing on himself. He called everyone terrible names and gave them no choice but to shut it down. And it doesn't help to have a public coke rant saying how "clean" you are.

47. not a particularly good comparison
Valerie was only on for two seasons before Valerie Harper left the show. She left at the end of the season, and the principal reason was that the producers wanted to take the show in a direction she didn't want, so it already was teed up to change the show's focus away from her even if she had stayed. Moreover, it was never anywhere near the hit that Two and a Half Men has been. Valerie didn't crack the top 30 shows its first year and was only the 20th rated show (and 11th rated sitcom in year two). Two and a Half Men has been in the top 15 every year since it debuted and has been the top rated sitcom in all but its first year.

45. Which is why when the show shut down when he went to rehab the last time
he paid everyone's salary out of his own pocket.

The guy's a train wreck, but he didn't shut the show down; the producer did. And I doubt the producer is going to be as generous.

Context is everything here. In the midst of insulting a man he decides to use the Hebrew version of his name. Then balks how that makes it look like his intentions were less than noble.

Okay...that makes no sense at all. :silly:

18. I think it's just a matter of time
before he gets arrested for a drug and/or prostitution charge, something like what happened to Robert Downey Jr. His family will probably conspire with the police to catch him doing something. Personally, I feel like he should be allowed to destroy himself if that's what he wants to do. It looks like that's what his friends think, too, since he has to hire hookers for company.

and he is violent.

Downey hurts himself with his drug use but i don't think he has ever physically attacked others.

40. holy crap
I don't normally pay that much attention to celeb stuff but if half the stuff on wiki is accurate...

In 1990, Sheen accidentally shot his then-fiancee, Kelly Preston, in the arm, after which she ended the relationship

March 2005, while she was still pregnant with their daughter Lola, Richards filed for divorce from Sheen, accusing Sheen of abusing drugs and alcohol and threatening Richards with violence

Sheen was arrested on charges of domestic violence, including second-degree assault and menacing, against Mueller on December 25, 2009

He shot Kelly Preston?????
