A quick question re: the Wisconsin's SEI union's collective bargaining irights matter
A co-worker is saying that the union's collective bargaining rights re: wages was never at issue. It is only their right to bargain for benefits, working conditions and other.

Is this true?

1. The unions conceded all the economic arguments (IE WAGES) the Governator would not talk to them
because he wanted to kill their right to bargain.

2. Thanks for your quick response, however I still don't understand
What I do understand is that the union conceded all the economic arguements, including wages, to the governor. What my co-worked is saying, as I interpret it, is that the unions' right to collective bargaining over wages was never at issue, only their right to collective bargaining over benefits, working conditions, and other matters. Its as if the right to bargain over wages and the right to bargain over benefits, working conditions, and other matters are two entirely separate and distinct entities. Is this the case, or is it (as I believe it is) all lumped into one collective bargaining entity?

3. Their right to bargain over wages was to be limited
so that they could not get increases greater than the COLA.
