Heads up Sacramento: The 'Walmart of weed' to open in California
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41778594/ns/us_news-life/

It's being called the Walmart of weed: a 10,000-square-foot Sacramento gardening emporium that opens Saturday with how-to experts and merchandise to help medical marijuana patients grow pot.

The cavernous weGrow hydroponics store marketing itself as a retail outlet is the first national franchise for a company that bills itself as a supply and training destination for legal pot growers. In coming months, weGrow plans to open stores in Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey and Oregon.

The Sacramento Bee reports the enterprise started in Oakland last year as a warehouse store called iGrow.

Pot isn't sold or grown at the store. In the past, hydroponics outlets have avoided any mention of marijuana because pot cultivation is illegal under federal law. But hydroponics stores have exploded as states approve medical marijuana use.

4. Dispensaries
are needed when you are sick. Who can imagine feeling like you have the flu all the time (chemo) and trying to get some weed? Can I just say cannabis is the ONLY thing that makes me feel normal?

Oxycodone gives me migranes (a common side effect!) and morphine derivatives--alll pain pills--cause constipation, which requires laxatives. I am not sure everyone is aware of this.

Cannabis IS the BEST medicine when you are in pain-kills the pain instantly and improves digestion and elimination.

I am currently writing my reps for a dialogue on this in MD, because it is the right thing to do.

Peace~I hope you are all healthy.

8. Important point here...
I'm old... and beat up. Two fake knees, kidney stones in the past, bad disks....

Used to be that Oxycodone - which I took very sparingly - would kill the pain and let me sleep.

My older body now responds different to all the opiates. Kills the pain, but won't let me sleep.

Weed.... just lets me sleep and takes the edge off.

Our bodies change, and our reactions to drugs changes, too.

I think I should have the choice of medication.

6. It's not fair...

...that WalMart gets equal billing in this story of public health growing from grass roots.

7. They refuse to admit it but legalization would really help the economy.
