About Libya
I have seen people say that we need to be hands off libya, and some that say we need to be in there doing no fly zones.

Folks, I ask two questions:

1) Is this not the pattern we saw in Iraq?
2) If we do get involved in Libya/egypt/insert arab country here, what is to keep it from esclating into yet another crusader misadventure, you know, where they greet us a liberators?

I will add a third question: do we need another mid east war?

1. The pattern in Iraq?
How so? When?

There is a helluva lot of ground between enforcing a no-fly zone and sending in 300,000 troops to topple a government and occupy a country.

The people of Libya are in need of a no fly zone to keep Gaddafi from bringing in outside mercenaries. They want that. I don't recall the people of Iraq wanting us to invade and occupy their country. Apples and oranges, really.
