Protester in Denver today assaulted by Teabagger
Edited on Tue Feb-22-11 07:04 PM by Skip_In_Boulder
On the Mario Solis-Marich Show @ AM760.net there was just an interview of a protester at the solidarity rally in Denver being assaulted by a teabagger. Don't have a link to a story yet but it may show up at AM760.net later today.

As support for the unions increase I expect to see more violence by teabaggers as they start seeing they are losing the public debate in America.

1. What was the nature of the assault? Verbal? Physical?
More info needed.

3. Teabbagers didn't like his sign so they through him up against a fence
and tried to take his sign from him. I am trying to get a link to the interview but don't have one yet. Will post if and when I get one.

10. Um, what fence?
The only thing I could think of is a railing that runs down the steps. But that's not very high.

2. Yes I expect this too
and this is what they are circulating in their sites

So NOTHING like self fulfilling prophecies, in their minds.

People need to get some peaceful resistance training as well.

18. yup...
I haven't studied intel, but pretty much understand that the end game is to turn America's working class to that of the Chinese working class. They want cheap labor, and they mean to maintain their wealth without there being any checks and balances(we the people working through our government to regulate).

9. The whole protest was FUBAR.
First when they went to speak, the sound wasn't loud enough so that everyone could hear. All the people around me kept saying, "Turn up the volume."

Then the moronic security plan put two opposing groups together with no formal police coverage.

Then the police had to step in, and it was peaceful for a while.

Then I heard one of the officers say that they they'd lost their permits.

Then a bunch of police started gathering on the street across the way, I knew it was time to get out of there.

So I went to the top of the bus station, which has a park on it, a little ways away. It sounded like they were still going at it, but eventually the cops managed to get the crowds apart, from what I could see.

16. I can attest to the problems.
I couldn't hear the speeches at all.

And what was the deal with the Denver pigs kicking the unions off the Capitol grounds? I wasn't aware you had to have a permit to exercise free speech.

And as usual, the coverage in the Denver Post was horribly biased.

But we did have fun heckling the teabaggers.

14. Sounds like the opposition is scared shitless that the state employees will expect bargaining
I know our former governor signed the executive order allowing for it. But I expect it to sit on a shelf gathering dust. So this hyperbolic reaction to a sign sounds like they won't be putting up with any state workers getting uppity and expecting fairness.

Feels like they're trying to nip anything positive in the bud as they work to destroy PERA.
