In the name of "free market" and "free enterprise" our communities are being destroyed. Our government needs to protect us from economic weapons of mass destruction, not participate in using them against us. Instead they have become the puppets of our country's true enemies. Necessary elements of human life are now in the hands of greedy corporate 'persons', subsidized with public money who are allowed the freedom to plunder and pillage.
We can no longer believe that nothing has a value not assigned by the 'market'. Our communities cannot be handed over to the so-called 'great' corporations.
Except that by our submissiveness we make it so.
