An observation on Gaddafi's latest speech
About 3/4 of the way through, the camera cut's to the "cheering crowd" scene, and in the background, you can see a TV screen showing Gaddafi speaking. At no time during the speech is he interrupted by applause, or can any crowds be seen or heard. I suspect he and his cronies can't trust even the "loyal supporters" and are keeping them at a distance.

1. Watched while getting IV infusion. Couldn't hear what was said.
Was he coherent? Didn't look like from his gestures and facial expressions.

3. Coherent in the sense of using whole sentences...
...but nothing he said came across as rational.

2. The reflection in his glasses showed one man w/camera & NO crowds
anywhere near him. It was a deserted old bombed out building. I don't think ti was a live speech either as it was still daylight (you could see in his glasses reflection) and it would have been dark there.

Rumor was that if you didn't raise your hands and shout pro-Qadaffi slogans, you'd be shot- supposedly 4 men were for just that.

Man is crazy.

5. Fidel Castro seems to like him.
I don't know about elsewhere, but in the Latin American forum we're reading Castro, Noriega, and Chavez' Foreign minister, Maduro, have made somewhat controversial comments about Kaddafi. I think they forgot there's a fatwah, and the guys fighting against Kaddafi consider it jihad. If I were those Latin American communists I wouldn't be betting on Kaddafi right now.
