A great nugget from the leaked book by a former top aide to Sarah Palin, courtesy of Josh Green: Even though Palin had Lasik surgery to correct her vision, she still wears glasses to "look smarter."

Another one from of Politico: The former Alaska governor didn't even support her own eventual ticket-mate in the GOP presidential primary, saying in a January 2008 email: "Huck's a good pick for me, just fyi."

1. From the very first impression

Everything about this woman is a lie. I've had the misfortune to work with a couple of people like this, both of them women, who bull their way into leadership/control positions that they're totally unsuited for. Once they've achieved their position, they proceed to use all means available to run the organization into the ground. They depend on inertia, apathy, and incredulity that anyone could be so conniving to grab as much as they can as fast as they can. You'd best use a stick of dynamite to dislodge them from their position. They leave behind a broke and toxic organization that takes years to repair, if it can be repaired.
