Report from Madison.
My daughter called me earlier to let me know what was happening in Madison.

She was unable to go to the capitol today. She worked. Also, she has a strep throat and a winter sunburn from being out there for the better part of four days. Her boss was at the capitol instead. Her boss reports that there were fewer people outside today because of the rain, but the inside of the capitol was packed.

Tom Morello played at a noon rally, but the concert was moved, due to the freezing rain being hard on equipment.

My daughter says that the committees are being set up, and the petitions are being circulated now to recall eight repub state senators. If any of you cheeseheads have seen the petitions, could you please respond? Did they really get this going so quickly? I know that eight are eligible for recall.

She asked that I remind cheeseheads that the April election for the state supreme court is really important. Vote for Kloppenburg. She is the Democrat. If she does not win, the repubs will have a 4-3 advantage, and will rubber stamp all Scottie Mubarak's program. It is a shame that this is what our judiciary has come to, but I don't doubt it. The papers in Wisconsin are reporting that they expect to see a lot of outside money thrown at this race.

That is all for now.

Solidarity.

7. Cheeseheads are pretty tough.
They don't let a little snow and ice bother them.
