NBC Nightly News LYING About Wisconsin protests
NBC Nightly News led tonight's newscast with the protests in Madison. They offered that there were 70,000 people at the protest. Where they injected complete bullshit was their coverage of the Teabaggers. They NEVER mentioned that there were only a handful of TEabaggers supporting Gov. Walker. Their camera shots of the Teabaggers were very tight making it seem as though there were alot of people. In short, they made it SEEM as though the groups were similar in size. Their coverage was not lazy or an accident. They obvioulsy wanted viewers that are not infomred to think that two equal sized groups squared off in Madison.

2. well, yeah - haven't you heard? That's the new fair and balanced
Always act like the opposite side is equal and valid no matter how few of them there are. Look at global warming? How many scientists actually believe it's not happening? And yet, they are treated as if they are equal to the 100s of scientists who believe the evidence says the opposite!

20. Unless, of course, the "other side" happens to not be
conservative - then they are barely mentioned and, if they are, soundly ridiculed and dismissed as irrelevant.

There is no excuse for the extremely poor showing of our national media of this news event.

4. By comparison, ABC didn't exactly "lie".
Edited on Sat Feb-19-11 07:11 PM by Tesha
They just omitted the truth, giving the usual Mass
Media bullshit spin that both sides were somehow
equally represented.

And they gave all the audio quotes to the 'Baggers.

Not exactly a lie, but nowhere near "the truth".

14. No, that is a lie
A lie of ommission. In many respects, it is even more insidious than a bald-faced, in your face lie.

5. I was there today and I really don't believe there were 70K people.
I am watching NBC and I don't think they said how many teapartiers there were. I thought about 10% of the people I saw were supporting Walker. It doesn't surprise me that NBC is giving both sides of this.

7. Well Al Jazeera just had a report on Wisconsin and
Edited on Sat Feb-19-11 06:47 PM by Cleita
they called the teabaggers Governor Walker supporters. They said that the protestors vastly outnumbered the Governor Walker supporters. I guess you know who to watch. Al Jazeera can be streamed here:

Too bad M$NBComcast doesn't run on weekends because at least Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz are getting the reports right and contrary to their affiliate NBComcast

Please click here.

I haven't seen this kind of solidarity from the MSM since the run up to the Iraq war. Once again, they're all Fox News.
