Five states in the U.S. specifically prohibit collective bargaining for teachers. Their rankings in combined ACT/SAT scores: 44. Virginia 47. Texas 48. Georgia 49. North Carolina 50. South Carolina.

They are destroying the progressive school system in Wake County. I was kind of proud that we hadn't had a Republican legislature since reconstruction. It all went to crap last election.

She is a devoted, caring professional.

She has been teaching for 25 years and is a desirable teacher.
Many requests to be in her classroom.

Her students consistently have high scores.

She makes less than $28k a year.

The new coach that was just hired out of college makes $50k to start.

You want to know why kids in Texas are failing?

That is a big part of your answer.

I went to high school there back in the '60s. It was true then, and I'm sure it's true now.
