Man Tattoos Leviticus 18:22 That Forbids Homosexuality On His Arm, But Leviticus 19:28 Forbids Tatto

this post is not, strictly speaking, about GLBT, but to point up the general right wing hypocrisy

31. It wasn't about my grandma, but thanks for your message...
the point was that not everyone tattoos because they have a temporary feeling and decide to permanently alter themselves.

She died almost 8 years ago, and yet I think about her everyday, as she looks over my shoulder (she's tattooed there).

My remarks were general, you are unique...
I have my opinions on body art and the varieties of people and reasons for seeking it, but it seems more than superfluous to give them to people who already have tattoos. There is that risk that people will take it as personal criticism. Your remembrance of your grandmother is touching. And I empathize with your feelings. But what was the feeling that made you get the tattoo? Is it that you would not remember your grandmother if it weren't there? I doubt there is a reason that would satisfy both of us. I was generalizing and you are an exception.

Ultimately, the matter is trivial. I treat all tattooed and non-tattooed the same. While my remark was mostly an attempt at humor, I have enough anecdotal instances in my experience to support the statement. I was thinking of an actress I know who has a tattoo on her ass that covers her ex-boy friend's name that was originally tattooed on her ass. Maybe she only thinks about it when she has to wear a bathing suit. I don't know.

I didn't say "everybody" in my statement, and to have included the implied "some" or "many" really would have killed the timing.

Do you know, I was in the car the other day and heard that Eva Longoria's boyfriend (the brother of Penelope Cruz) got her name tattooed on him recently. They've been dating for two months. My first thought was "well, hopefully it's not a big tattoo and luckily Eva is a short name."

I understand what you're saying and thanks.

20. My Jewish boss told me that any kind of body
disfigurement is forbidden by strict Jewish laws, not only tattoos, but piercing also, like no earrings allowed. So I asked him then why do they cut off a piece of the most important part of the male anatomy. He thought that was pretty funny and laughed.

because he is in need of a constant reminder. (sarcasm)

My guess is that he eats shrimp as well, and probably has dishes with meat and cheese (like lasagna). Who knows perhaps some BBQ pork on occasion.... According to the Bible, gay sex is the rough moral equivalent of eating a pulled pork sandwich. (other listed abominations)

33. Just when you thought anti gay religious hypocrisy had peaked.
This is just so quintessentially stupid it is hard to even comment with a straight face. First off, there is that material about 'graven images' and the photo above is a graven image of a graven image of a graven image on his arm. I'm stopping with that.

to the point of being an anarchist. I believe that people have a right to believe and say anything they like, even if it may hurt somebody else's feelings. I also believe everybody else is free to think and say that the first guy is an idiot.
