The "deficit" is a Republican-generated crisis...
and they would never want to waste a good "crisis".

What better time to cut social programs to the bone? What better time to attack Social Security? What better time to attack our teachers and the right of workers to negotiate with their employers? What better time to give huge taxcuts to the wealthy??

This is a political "crisis" created by the Republicans for political gain. They have to be defeated.

2. Same trick they're pulling in WI.
Scott Mubarak created his own financial crisis with giveaways to the rich.

9. We have a conservative a-hole mayor in Anchorage
who has been pulling this same shit. He's been demonizing the police and firemen's unions, demanding concessions, talking about how former mayor Mark Begich "lied" about the budget when he negotiated the union contracts, and now, come to find out, we actually have a $15 million surplus. Surprise, surprise!

These guys are all studying the same playbook. And Mayor Dan Sullivan is definitely eyeing Senator Mark Begich's job.

11. I've noticed that the Wisconsin governor & Boner have both used the "we're broke" meme...
right after they secure tax cuts for the rich.

13. Kick
I think we should not dismiss this point so quickly. The Republicans are creating a "crisis" for their political agenda.
