How about a new conspiracy theory - IMHO, the economy is just on the cusp
of a full recovery, complete with jobs. Is it only coincidence that so many Republican governors are trying to lay off so many people? What better way is there to strangle the recovery in the cradle?

2. I have family members who work for outfits that sell to basic manufacturing
industries - steel, aluminum, etc. They are just about booked solid, with more orders coming in. The economy is just about ready to really bust loose if governments don't kill it out of fear of deficit spending. I don't know what worries me more - state governments laying off people because they have to balance their budgets and refuse to raise taxes, or England and the EU pushing austerity budgets.
