Madison: National labor leader to speak here Friday; Tea Party plans Saturday rally
Edited on Fri Feb-18-11 10:50 AM by Ellipsis
With all eyes on the State Capitol, a national labor leader is coming to Madison on Friday to lend support to the thousands of protesters rallying against Gov. Scott Walker's budget plan.

Walker will be getting his share of support on Saturday, with hundreds, if not thousands, of conservatives expected to converge on the Capitol for a Tea Party rally. (12:00 to 3:00)

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will address the protesters on Friday at noon, according to an e-mail from the Wisconsin AFL-CIO.

Trumka also plans to "march in solidarity with Wisconsin workers and help prepare and deliver food to the crowds," the e-mail said.

5. Hundreds if not thousands of conservatives?
So, will there be any critical coverage when those numbers fail to materialize? Or will we be treated to the compelling spectacle of the Tea Baggers whining (I know, can you imagine?!) about how their rugged individualist members were too frightened to show up?
