My impressions of Scott Mubarak so far…
I think people like Boehner have set him up as the expendable point man in their little social experiment.

They've inflated his ego, convinced him he's a little tin demigod, and sent him up as a trial balloon. If he succeeds in destroying the public employees' unions, he will get his little rewards. If it all comes crashing down on his head, they will abandon him like last fall's dog turd that just melted its way out of the winter snow.

He is a small man, uneducated, vicious, psychopathic, and lacking in depth of any sort. In many ways he reminds me of GWB, except that he lacks the upper-class finish. He is a tool who thinks he is a king.

1. I think you're right. And I think he's not just a one-termer, but has a real recall chance.
'Scott Mubarak'

heh...

5. I think Boehner is as much of a tool as Walker is
of the real right-wing power like the Koch Brothers.

Otherwise, I agree.

6. I don't think my comments and yours are mutually exclusive.
Ultimately, they're all Koch-suckers.

11. Yes.
Actually, his most recent job was as Milwaukee County Executive. He also served in the Legislature at one time. He's a college dropout.

Here, from Wikipedia:

Walker was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Llew Walker, a Baptist minister, and Pat Walker, a bookkeeper.<5> He moved with his family to Plainfield, Iowa when he was an infant, and then to Delavan, Wisconsin when he was ten years old.<5>
While in high school, he attended two weeks of American Legion sponsored training in leadership and government; Badger Boys State held in Wisconsin, and the selective Boys Nation held in Washington, D.C.<6><7> He has credited the experience with solidifying his interest in public service and giving him the "political bug".<5><7> He graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1986 then attended Marquette University from 1986 to 1990,<4> quitting about 36 credit hours short of graduation, with a grade point average in the C's.<8>
Walker explained his reasons for leaving college: "In the end, I figured I was in school to get a good job,” he said. “So once I had one, family became more important than getting a degree.”<5> He worked for IBM in sales from 1988 to 1990, and in marketing and development at the Red Cross from 1990 to 1994, according to his LinkedIn profile.<9> He is the first governor of Wisconsin in 64 years to not have a college degree.<8>

12. I hear that John Nichols said today that he's known Scotty for 25 years, and this isn't...
...Scotty's idea. That he's someone's puppet in this matter (can anyone say the Koch Brothers'?).

Basically what you're saying, JR.

17. 400 students walked out of the HS this AM in support of teachers.
Tonight about 150 of us gathered in front of the court house. I put pics up of the latter event.

16. We can only hope...
for recall, that is! :) And for Governor Greed Head Tool to be kicked to the curb, as he richly deserves. I really do hope that Wisconsin is the Spark that finally ignites the Light, so that the People can finally See. Please, please, and pretty please!

20. The Egyptians looked like they were losing too.
And the thing is, we have a tradition of democracy in this state that Egypt never had. For most of the last century, up until the Thompson Administration which began in 1987, WI had the cleanest state gov't in the country. Enough of us remember it to restore it, I think, if we can create that opportunity for ourselves.
