Here's letter to the editor of the paper today...


"We are furious with Gov. Scott Walker's intention to disenfranchise our Wisconsin public employees. We are also disgusted with his threat to call up the Wisconsin National Guard if workers protest against this "union-busting."

Can you just see it? Thousands of Wisconsin public employees, teachers, nurses, public health workers staring across at hundreds of Wisconsin National Guard troops?

What's wrong with this picture?

Everything.

Everything we in Wisconsin stand for and believe in is not a part of this picture: fairness, unions, worker and management bargaining rights, intelligent and rational leadership, transparent and open legislative process with hearings and discussions and collaboration -- all elements that have worked well in Wisconsin history."
