teabaggers... Allow me to go on a drunken rant
Are they Racists? Yes.
Are they stupid? Yes.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? They vote for people that will screw not only them but the entire country... I don't get it. The failed policies of the repugs is evident (yes, repugs and teabaggers are one and the same) yet they still want to keep going in the same direction... the wrong direction... further down the tubes.

They, in all honesty, want to be ruled by a handful of corporations... This is what they advocate... WTF? They deny science (climate change, evolution, etc) to the point of being stupid. They want religion taught in science class... to the point of being stupid... WTF? They want to own women... They want their religious beliefs to be law.... They want anyone that has a different sexuality then hetero to be a criminal... WTF?

HELLO! This is 2011... Wake the fuck up you neanderthals! Science is science and religion is religion, keep them apart, look at the fucking facts. Women require the right to make their own choices and fuck you if you want to make it for them. We are not a Christian nation... get over it. Equal rights for everyone... That is the law of the land, respect our Constitution you fuckers.

Oh... You claim you are not racists? Fuck you, you racist douchebags! Where were you when that douchebag bush was trampling all over the Constitution? Warrantless wiretapping? No? No fucking problem there... Douchebags. Torture? .... Fucking TORTURE? No? That was ok? Fuck you douchebags. oh but suddenly govt is evil when there is a black man in the white house... Fuck You, you racist douchebags.

I know if I was sober I could put a lot more into this but... GAH! Fucking teabaggers piss me off.

1. Fortunately, most Republicans aren't 'teabaggers'
'Fiscally conservative' voters no longer have a party

11. Here's interesting link "How facts backfire"
How facts backfire

Researchers discover a surprising threat to democracy: our brains

In a series of studies in 2005 and 2006, researchers at the University of Michigan found that when misinformed people, particularly political partisans, were exposed to corrected facts in news stories, they rarely changed their minds. In fact, they often became even more strongly set in their beliefs. Facts, they found, were not curing misinformation. Like an underpowered antibiotic, facts could actually make misinformation even stronger.

One must realize that stupidity has no limit nor education level, so, if you're going to change hearts & minds, you might as well learn how to use people's stupidity to your advantage. It's a cold shot.

We'll never get rid of the stupidity until we can get rid of party politics. The Founders were vehemently opposed to parties and presciently predicted exactly how they would weaken the republic. Read Washington's Farewell Address. He nails the problem with party politics.

12. Your 100% spot on...boy if I was finishing a doctorates.....
i've been observing news stories as they appear in papers and the internet...same stories with different headlines and completely different reactions. We have been experiencing a rash of this right here on DU. People believe what they want to believe and when it disrupted they don't seem willing to bend toward that change correct or not. I disagree so much about the political parties even if they provide a slant....people have to have some pre-concieved belief if the gravatate toward them. I do agree belonging to a party does precondition a person to certain beliefs even if the inforamtion they recieve is incorrect or innaccurate. How often do we ever see a news story that is a correction on page 1.
