What can we do to help Wisconsin? What can we do to help Wisconsin?
GENERAL STRIKE!

How about the national union leaders call on their members to flat-out shut the whole damn works down? I mean, it's not like anyone in labor thinks that this is just about Wisconsin, or just about public employees. The Fascists want the whole system torn down, and Wisconsin is just the first step.

This bill will pass, don't delude yourself into thinking that these cynical sycophants in our state house will have a sudden change of heart. They won't.

GENERAL STRIKE! GENERAL STRIKE! GENERAL STRIKE!

Look at the comments in the papers and blogs, the Fascists have their zombies and robots out in legion filling the internet with hate, bile, vicious lies about the people they need to keep the wheels of this country turning. We pay taxes. We work for a living. We contribute to society and try to make the world a better place. And we won't be able to do that when this happens here in Wisconsin, and in Ohio, and in Florida, and in New Jersey to the public employees. And the service employees. And the machinists. And the automakers. And the laborers, carpenters, truck drivers, heavy equipment engineers, railroad trainmen, miners and anyone else that wants to be more than a serf and a wage slave.

SOLIDARITY FOREVER! SHUT IT DOWN!

Honestly, do the union leaders in the private sector, the union leaders in Illinois, in Minnesota, in Pennsylvania, in Ohio think that this is just a little isolated tempest in a teapot? An elected official is ELIMINATING the collective bargaining rights of 175,000 people unilaterally? This is their goddamn wet dream, and it has been since Roosevelt came into office (Teddy or Frank, take your pick).

I'm in CA, how can I help?

I'm in OK, how can I help?

I'm in VA, how can I help?

Get on the phone, get on the net, hike down to the labor temple, flood the voice mail and inbox of your union leaders and tell them it's time to stand together for once. Tweet your friends, post on your facebook wall. Call your friends, call your uncle who retired from the UAW, call your brother and sister. Get the UNIONS that we pay into every paycheck to stand united, NATIONWIDE, from Aircraft Mechanics to Zookeepers, and say NO MORE. THIS ENDS HERE. This isn't about public workers having to kick in for their pension. It's not about having to contribute to health insurance. It's not about having to sacrifice for the community.

IT'S ABOUT RESPECT. IT'S ABOUT BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS. IT'S ABOUT STANDING UP, STANDING TOGETHER AND PRESERVING WHAT OUR GRANDPARENTS DIED FOR!

IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!

5. This is the time.
The actions we have been seeing many fronts, from capitulating democrats to iron-fisted republican Governors, et al, is starting to look like the hammer is coming down on us hard and fast.

Nothing much is being served but the Corporate Party and it looks like we are beholden to their headquarters, the Chamber of Commerce. We are asked to sacrifice excursively, (while many of us have nothing left to sacrifice but our lives) while the deadbeat rich get tax breaks, and now the corporations are going for their cuts and perks as well.

I think that we could come to realize that this wave of dismantling is not going to end on its own and that we are dealing with a mindset of people for whom nothing less than all will be satisfactory. That spells hell in the end result, without action and resistance.

6. Yesterday was the time; today is the beginning of the end.
Hyperbole? I wouldn't be so sure. I'd rather not find out.

The fascists want us broken, want us crushed no matter what. Better to go down swinging than to take that next soma, dontcha think?

I'm not sure the timing is right yet, but I LOVE to be proven wrong. Even it the time isn't quite there for a general strike, it IS getting closer.

12. What is done for Wisconsin
is done for the nation. Ed Schultz had a very powerful graphic up tonight of Governors Christie, Walker & Stasich(sp?) of Ohio entitled "Enemies of the States." Which they are, and of course, there are more. Rick Scott comes to mind, Jan Brewer, Rick Perry, etc., etc., etc. And these are just governors!

K&R

15. Tell them to also fight for, "Hand Counted Paper Ballots," ....
counted at the polling place in full view of observers from all parties, and the ballots must, MUST, be counted and the totals posted online/publicly, before the ballots leave the polling place.

If they had Hand Counted Paper Ballots they wouldn't be in the predicament they find themselves in today.

My two cents, FWIW!
