Sigh... OK,Texans.. what are WE doing in solidarity with Wisconsin?
as Our public school teachers and state/county employess get the shaft?

Texas has their workers right where they want them.
Wisconsin... I am so proud of you.
maybe some day we will be marching beside you.
not yet.

1. March in your hometown, wear red, put a sign in your car window
discuss it in class if you are a teacher at the appropriate grade level, get the word out on FB and here.

I was in the rotunda almost all day today. The marble walls were trembling.

6. Well here, it's "Wear Red for Public Ed." Check out the photos
at the NYTimes or if you are on FB, go to Wi. Public Employees Against Scott Walker.

Everyone was wearing red in solidarity.

8. I have done these things... had all of my tires flattened and life threatened.
This is home-school/christian private school mecca.
My partner deals with the aftermath as a public school teacher... spends 60 hours/week dealing with it,as a matter of fact.
He is a member of AFT.
They have NO clout in Texas schools.
They can not collectively bargain.
Texas will kick them to the curb and not renew their contract.maybe when he's ready to retire,we will get loud.
Walmart isn't hiring in our neck of the woods.

3. Maybe Someday? Not Yet? .......
Wait too long and they'll cut the legs right out from under you. The time to march is now. Let them know that "We're as mad as hell and not going to take it anymore."
