1. I'm an old lady and have absolutely no problem with this.
If it helps the young man,why not?

I had to drink Guinness' Stout in the forties for weight gain I was so frail. I did this at about 10-11 years old.

2. Some drugs are eulogized that reward the pharmaceutical

industry handsomely and more simple ones are considered taboo. We have a lot of growing up to do as a society. I've been waiting well over a half century for the US to grow up, so I doubt I will ever see it ...

3. Amazing.
It’s amazing how our culture has such a high acceptance of pharmaceuticals and such condemnation for this plant. We are basically forcing thousands of kids to take Ritalin and scores of other new and complicated synthesized substances, but will question a mother who tries giving her son a plant that she can see helps.

4. And what's also amazing are those that drink themselves silly thinking/saying
they take no drugs. That's how bizarre our country is ... it's perfectly acceptable to have a politician, for example, making a toast or more, or tipsy, but a small bit of marijuana is so taboo. And those that see no medical benefits to marijuana ... it's a strange hypocritical place IMO in need of some serious growing up.

7. I find I have an easier time understanding and accepting
the reality when I place it in context of all of our other realities. Every socioeconomic model under which we are operating is controlled by a very small group securing vast amounts of wealth. Every single one. The government and its regulatory functions have been carved out and handed over to private management. We have a privatized government capable of protecting any corporate interest that has the the money to buy into the game.

Try this exercise: Think of any great problem we are dealing with as a society and culture, then identify the small group that is becoming wealthy by keeping that problem intact.

5. Children should not have recreational marijuana...
but there ain't nothing "recreational" about this case. I think it's fine.

I have seen some studies that "suggest" cannabis is effective in the treatment of ADHD. Apparently it works in this case.

9. Why not? We give them amphetamine (Adderall) and cocaine's chemical sibling (Ritalin)
If it's for a medical benefit, then what's the difference?

Do you suggest those under 18 should be denied all medicines?
