Glenn Beck is certainly not thrilled with the successful revolution in Egypt. While on MSNBC, Chris Matthews and the field reporters in Egypt were giddily wondering whether other Middle Eastern regimes might fall, doom and gloom Beck was praying that it wouldn’t happen. All of this fear also turned the episode into another one of Beck’s classic “Young People Just Don’t Get It” shows as he tackled Google exec and Egyptian protest organizer Wael Ghonim as well as the terrors of social media.

I can also say the VAST majority of them would be more beneficial than what we have now.

I don't think either age 'bloc' has a lock on good ideas, but if we can temper our wisdom with exuberance, and desire for change with the good of the many...then it doesn't matter where/what Glenn Beck is afraid of. I'll admit...I don't like Facebook. But not for reasons like this -- for this, it's probably one of the greatest creations of the Internet age. That it makes people like Beck afraid only reinforces its' value in this context.

I totally hear you on the youthful ideas. The thing is, with global resources depleting, the time for those young revolutionary ideas is now. Its really time for people to start with a fresh slate, and the young are the ones who are going to have to live in this new resource depleted world. We owe their revolution to them, let them shape their futures...They can't do a worse job than we have done of shaping their futures.

I've got to say I don't like Facebook either, what you have is an interface to a giant database which tracks everybody you know and all your communications through it to all the people you know. This database is now largely owned by Goldman Sachs. Awesome, right?
