iirc Trump's answer to questions was that he never risks any of his own money.

When any of his projects went kaput, they had always been financed by other people's investments. So I think the casino may have gone bankrupt, but Trump emerged financially unscathed.

How he gets people to invest in anything, I have NO idea.
