Rodents on a Plane
Seattle, WA (KIRO) - Passengers on an Alaska Airlines flight Thursday from Seattle to Denver got quite the surprise. The pilot had to pull the plane back to the gate before takeoff -- because of all things, a rat that was spotted in the cabin of the plane.

Alaska Airlines confirmed that Flight 676 from Seattle to Denver had to pull back to the gate when passengers saw a rat in the cabin of the plane.

An hour and a half later, the passengers were back on their way to Denver. Alaska said most folks seemed pretty good natured about the whole thing. "It's not something that is great, but clean the plane a little better," says Celia Hacker, a passenger on the plane.

Other Alaska passengers seemed pretty ok about the whole thing too. ..........(more)

3. How did the rat get past the TSA?
Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With my friend to call my own I'll never be alone
And you my friend will see, you've got a friend in me

Ben, you're always running here and there
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
If you ever look behind and don't like what you find
There's something you should know, you've got a place to go

I used to say, "I", And "Me"
Now it's "Us", Now it's "We"

Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as I do I wish they would try to
I'm sure they'd think again if they had a friend like Ben

6. Why rats on a plane is a big deal.
Rats/mice LOVE to chew wires.

Planes are LOADED with wires.

IMPORTANT wires.

7. Yeah, rats happen.
One practically ran across my foot last weekend as I was shopping in the meat department of a local grocery store. A rather upscale grocery store at that, in an upper middle class suburb. Ran across the floor from who knows where, and went in a little gap at the base of an "island" refrigerator case.
