Throughout the past two weeks at work I have heard my fellow work team members make statements about the protest in Egypt saying that the people involved are just irresponsible radicals and they will wish one day they had thought different and that they don't realize the consequences of their actions...and how things are not that bad and they should just go home....
Well this morning about 0500am PST was no different so I decided it was time to take a stance and share some TRUTH about what is really at the heart of the people there...
So I ask my team members this... Suppose tomorrow Homeland Security under the direction of the President said there was an imminent threat that would bring tragedy to the USA and that they were imposing some sort of law that would protect
us from severe harm that would limit your travel and your ability to express your opinions publicly.....let say this law was left in place for five years and no attack was carried out..would you just accept this or would you become restless in your heart and soul and start making noise....they all said they would probably start to speak out much sooner than 5 years.... I said WELL!! that is why the people of Egypt have taken to the streets for weeks on end.....I told them about the EMERGENCY LAW that the Army put in place under Mubarak direction and authority after Anwar Sadat's was assassinated. These people have had the liberty's and freedoms stifled for 30 years as a result....Mubarak had no intentions in his life time to ever lift this law so they took to the streets...they were saying enough is enough..
Well they acted as they were listening with interest but they were actually saying under their conservative skin that DAMN LIBERAL...it was an hour later when one of the team members found this article and said to the rest of the team....He knows what he's talking about...I said yes I listen to MSNBC from 5pm PST each night...the after 5 MSNBC host know more about truth in reporting than all of Fox and CNN put together...
