A right to be very, very proud

He shouted, “This is Egypt! And viva la revolution!” Someone formed a conga line.

People used to chant, “We’re going to topple the government.”
This morning, it was “We’ve toppled the government,” and “God has toppled the government.”
The chant “We’re not leaving” has a new, exuberant, variation: “We’re not leaving—we like it here!”

6. They probably just don't understand what the word means.
They assume that it has to be a violent overthrow of a government.

2. He is sick and twisted. However, I do remember the days when his was the
biggest influence online. Today, not so much. He has become the Zune of the blogosphere.

4. I guess wingers are now ready to declare and unveil the parallel universe they've been working on
Beck and Drudge clearly aren't at home in this one. Maybe we can get them to pack up all their shit and secede?

7. You don't see smiles like the one on the face of the woman in the picture
when there is a military coup. This is a peoples' coup.

Now, the military could take over, but right now, the people have chosen to replace Mubarak with the military leaders whom the people trust.

9. Even a broken clock can occasionally be right.

The Military was in charge 59 years, it was in charge 30 years ago, it was in charge last week, and it remains in charge this week
with no reason to suspect it will not be in charge next week, or even next year.

Summing up the removal of the current Egyptian puppet as a mastery of political theater.

11. I'd venture a guess that this is a blanket view you hold.
Is it possible you believe that no political change is possible anywhere ever, except for the worse? Just a guess.

10. Remains to be seen. Who will be in charge?
What will happen to the plutocracy?
