I thought there would be more blood, an unfortunate clash with the Army and all hell breaking loose. This is beyond my wildest dreams! There's still a lot of work and intrigue ahead but the hardest part has been done. :hi: Champagne time tonight!

Was checking it out a few days ago too. It's one of several great ideas some of the protesters came up with. Here is another along the same lines - AliveInEgypt:

(The "Best Of" link includes the video interviews with Wael Ghonim, which they translated to English.)

55. He is not gone.
I just checked some stories.
He is still there, his role as VP is confused, since there is no President to be VP to, but he has "refused" to accept role of President, the army is in charge, officially.
But...Suleiman is long tied to CIA/Washington, so I suspect he is puppeteering behind the scenes, and soon Egyptians will realize they need to do something about him.

I'm disappointed there was no congratulation to the Egyptian people for their amazing revolution but I don't think any Western leader has sincerely congratulated them. Probably still in shock.

No other tweets about the speech right now but almost everyone's out in the streets celebrating.

2011 is going to be a very interesting year.

133. And alaa's last tweets there seem like a good way to wrap up Catherina's last topic today. :)
Thanks, Catherina, for all the topics and tweets you posted!

What I did was very minor compared to what Catherina did, but I was happy to be able to give her, and everyone else who's worked on these topics, even a little bit of help.

I'm still following and as topics are posted, I'll post a few relevant tweets here and there, but now's the part where the real revolutionaries stick fast to their demands, the lukewarm crowd tells them to stop waiting on their ponies, and the West, reluctant to lose its colonist rewards, tries the bigger crumbs routine. This part is in slow motion, behind the scenes and won't really be tweeted.

and I agree, it is far from over -- but these people conquered FEAR which keeps

so many of us here in America frozen, it seems.

Unfortunately, the military still protects capitalism -- I'm not really familiar

with what goes on in Egypt -- poorly informed, actually -- but capitalism can't

succeed without a MIC. Something we here in America have to be more aware of.

Trust everyone who followed this rebellion saw the threat of a military to freedom --

the see-saw of wondering who they would support!

Certainly in America there is a presumption they exist to support capitalism --

from OIL to the foulest of our corporations and their deeds as they move forward to

"harvest slave labor all over the world."

Have no "hearts" to give -- but you've won everyone's here, Catherina!!

Thank you!
