Saving the tweets
Edited on Fri Feb-11-11 12:03 PM by tabatha
I entered #Egypt into Google, and then chose "Realtime", scrolled down to the bottom of the page, and created an email alert.

That way the tweets are sent to my email.

I'll be saving the very best tweets as a memory of this day.

I also created an alert for #Jan25.

..............................

In a statement, Mubarak apologizes for delay, says EgyptAir booking line had him on hold since #jan25.

The people of Egypt are heroes to all the world. We are humbled by your perseverance. #egypt #jan25

85 Million Arabs are free from a 30 year old dictatorship. This is truly a great and historic moment for humanity. #Jan25

1. Interesting -- didn't know about that option. Thanks.
I like this one from ‎The People Speak Out:‎
And as Howard Zinn said in The People Speak: "Democracy doesn't come from the top, it comes from the bottom."

2. Ty, now I know how to do that!
Most of the best tweets..almost all of them, in fact, can also be found on Catherina and L.coyote's threads of the past 16 days.

check out #26 on this thread for links to the tweets/threads

3. more ...
Army throwing biscuits, water bottles and juice to anti-regime protesters near the Presidential Palace. #jan25 #mubarak

Crowd pressure pushes down stretch of barbed-wire fence front of State TV, then pulls it back, chanting "silmiya" "peaceful" #Egypt #Jan25

Dear Western Governments, You've been silent for 30 years supporting the regime that was oppressing us. Please don't get involved now #Jan25

Yes, social media played a role in #jan25. But don't call this the Twitter or FB revolution. Real people protested and died. It's theirs.
