BBC reporting Mubarak has left Cairo for villa @ Sharm El-Sheikh

1331: Sources tell BBC Arabic that Hosni Mubarak is in Sharm El-Sheikh.

1318: More reports coming in suggesting Mr Mubarak has left Cairo. The AFP news agency now quotes a source "close to the government" as saying he has left the city with his family.

1258: Senior Western official tells the BBC Hosni Mubarak has left Cairo.

7. Seems like most of the protesters want his departure, not his head.
There may be some who "want to reach out and touch him' so that he departs without an attached head. ;)

Al Arabiya television reported on Friday that President Hosni Mubarak and his family had left Cairo from a military airbase in the suburbs and had travelled to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

It did not give a source for the series of reports on the movement of the president and his family. Al Arabiya said it had confirmed the arrival of the president and his family in Sharm el-Sheikh.
