When Miami-Dade voters agreed to spend $1 million to restore the Flagler Memorial on Monument Island, many hoped the beautification of one of the county’s most revered historic structures would attract new visitors.

But probably not porn stars.

“This is not an uninhabited island miles off the coast,” said Assistant City Manager Hilda Fernandez. “It’s in the middle of a very busy bay. You can’t go filming pornos in public parks.”

On Feb. 5, RealityKings.com posted the adult movie, called Island Adventure, and credited the posting to one “Captain Stabbin’’ The film runs about 50 minutes, including travel time to the island.

The Freudian implications of filming a sex scene in the shadow of a soaring obelisk is ripe for debate.

The city let a movie company make a movie on the Bounty (sailing ship from the old movie) and later found out it was a porn movie called "Pirates".

The production was shot using high definition digital video cameras and featured over 300 special effects shots.<5> It also included an original music score, later released on a separate soundtrack CD, and was mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Several scenes were shot on board a replica of the HMS Bounty in St. Petersburg, Florida.<6> The owners of the ship were not aware of the true nature of the film as they were advised that the film being made was a "Disney-type pirate film for families"<7>, a mistaken notion that would continue in video stores after its release.<8>:rofl: :rofl:

It's really not all that big. I've been with bigger in real life. I'd say 6.5 inches, and wide. I've seen bigger. And he's an icky scuzzy dude.
